The 2024 Fall Semester has just begun, and we’re here to catch you up on all of the events 107.7 The Bronc has planned for this semester! We’ve got the event dates, times, and other details for each of our upcoming events!
Scream Screen: Will Be Even Better Than Last Year!
Scream Screen is back for the ninth consecutive year on Friday, October 18 in the BLC visitors lot! 107.7 The Bronc’s Scream Scream is one of a kind event. It’s the only drive-in movie and trunk-or-treat experience on a college campus in all of America. You can drive-in, park, and watch the movie you vote for on our 880-square-foot silver screen. There will be monster mini-golf, an inflatable haunted maze, pumpkin painting, and glow-in-the-dark spin art, plus TONS of food to go around, at our seven food trucks.
Program Director, Olivia Parker: “I am looking forward to Scream Screen this October; it makes the Halloween season really feel like Halloween.”
Assistant General Manager, Rosalyn Tiangco: “Scream Screen is just such an iconic event and I have to say it’s my favorite fall event we do! As AGM, I think I’m going to have a lot of different responsibilities, but I love being able to play a big part in the planning and execution of the event!”
We hope to see you scream at Scream Screen on Friday, October 18 at 6 p.m. in the BLC visitors lot. Click here for a sneak peek and stay spooky!
Scream Screen Blood Drive: Save A Life Before The Vampires Get It First!
107.7 The Bronc presents our eighth annual Scream Screen Blood Drive, in partnership with Miller-Keystone Blood Center, on Tuesday, October 29, and Wednesday, October 30 in the BLC Cavalla Room. Anyone who attempts to donate blood will receive a pair of free passes to Sky Zone Trampoline Park in Hamilton! One lucky student can even win a $250 Visa gift card for donating blood!
Assistant General Manager, Rosalyn Tiangco: “The Scream Screen Blood Drive is so important because you are saving three lives by donating a pint of blood. A lot of people think it might be scary to sit there and donate, but knowing that you helped potentially save somebody and give them a chance of living a longer, healthier life is so worth all of the anxiety that may come with donating!”
Scared to donate blood? Check out our Instagram Reel with Miller-Keystone, as General Manager, John Mozes donates a pint of blood and shows us it’s super easy to save lives! The Scream Screen Blood Drive is presented by Miller-Keystone Blood Center and is sponsored by 107.7 The Bronc. We hope to see you there!
Rider Student Top Chef Is Back!
Rider Student Top chef is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and we are going back to its roots. The name of this year’s competition is: Rider Student Top Chef: Anything Goes. Students will have the opportunity to enter a sweet or savory recipe for all of Rider to enjoy and vote for on Thursday, December 5 at Daly Dining Hall. Students can enter their recipes immediately following Scream Screen.
John Mozes, General Manager: “This year’s edition of Top Chef will be mega-sized. We’re going to have bigger prizes, and more contestants!. Plus, we’re going to debut a charity cookbook that students, faculty, and staff can purchase to celebrate 10 years of Top Chef and Dessert Wars contests with all proceeds helping to support 107.7 The Bronc.”
Emily O’Connor, Social Media Director: I love when our student body comes out and supports our student chefs by trying each recipe and voting for their favorite. I also like talking to the chefs about why they created and entered their recipe. Their answers always leads to a sense of family and home.”
We’ve Also Got New Merch!
We’ve had our new and improved online store for a few months now! You must check out 107.7 The Bronc’s General Store, the only place on campus where you can shop for exclusive WRRC merchandise! The Bronc General Store is here introducing new colors, such as tie-dyed tees and hoodies, new styles by named brands such Champion and Nike, and our clothing is sold at affordable priced options! And best of all, a portion of the proceeds go to 107.7 The Bronc.
Allison Burton, Production Director and Host of Wake Up Rider: “I plan on purchasing the new merch. The tie-dye is really eye-catching, so I can’t wait to buy a new t-shirt along with another sweatshirt!”
John Mozes, General Manager: “I think we’re at the place now where alumni and students have become more invested in our brand and more willing to purchase. The new site offers better quality clothing, colors, styles, plus other options for our on and off-campus audience.”

Lastly, Let’s Hear Our Students Talk All About The Music and Our Amazing New Student Shows!
With over 40 student shows airing on WRRC every week there is a student show for everyone! Whether you like doing a two-step to some county music or want to hear your favorite TikTok songs we are playing the biggest hits and best variety all day every day!
Olivia Parker, Program Director: “One thing I love about The Bronc is how much creative freedom we give students when it comes to their show. When I was music director for the station, I was uploading a lot of diverse music for the student shows. I heard game soundtracks, rap, funk, Top 40s, and even metal from time to time. When it comes to student talk shows, we let the students talk about any and everything they want (as long as they follow FCC guidelines, of course), which I think is a great thing. We provide an outlet for students to fully express themselves, whether that be through the music they play or the topics they discuss.
Jaden Foreman, Promotions Director: “I’m actually creating a new show. “Rhythms and Rhymes” is the home of Hip Hop at Rider University. This new radio show celebrates Hip Hop from the earliest MC’s like Kool Herc, all the way up to 2024. DJ Triple F is spittin’ and spinnin’ the ILLEST songs in HipHop. The show is every Monday from 4-5PM!”
Marissa Spencer, Web Director: It’s a great creative outlet for me and the highlight of my week. I get to share music with more people than I could ever imagine.”
