“Career Moves” will feature in-depth interviews with Rider community and industry professionals and alumni from various industries, who will share their personal career journeys, including the challenges they faced, pivotal moments, and key decisions that shaped their paths.
Listeners can expect episode topics such as “Exploring Non-Traditional Career Paths,” where guests from unique professions like innovation & entrepreneurship , or remote work will discuss their experiences and opportunities outside the traditional corporate world.
“Career Exploration 101” episodes will delve into specific fields, offering comprehensive overviews of industries such as finance, technology, healthcare, or marketing. Meet the Hosts
Sugenny Santiago (host) works as an Employer Relations Coordinator within the College of Arts and Science at Rider University. Joining the Career Development and Success team in June, Sugenny brings her passion as an HR and DEI professional, having graduated from CUNY and Villanova. Alongside her role, she teaches Latin American Studies at John Jay College, where she creates engaging curricula to deepen students’ knowledge of Latin American culture and social issues, while also mentoring them in career readiness. Being a lifelong learner and first-generation advocate, Sugenny remains up-to-date with the latest DEI research and practices. A resident of the Lawrenceville/Princeton area for over a decade and a proud mother of two, she enjoys participating in local short running races with her boys and baking in her free time.
Meet the Producers
Madison Cornelius is from Pemberton, NJ. She’s in her first semester of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s program at Rider. She’s also a graduate assistant for Career Services and works at a daycare in her hometown. Prior to her time at Rider, Maddie graduated from Muhlenberg College with a BA in Psychology and Dance along with a concentration in Dance Education. In her free time, she loves going to the gym, reading, and country line dancing with her friends.
