The Excitement Is Building With The Wake Up Rider Crew
“I’m super excited to be going back to the IBS awards for a second year in a row. I’m a little nervous to be speaking on the morning show panel, but having the opportunity to do that is legendary. I can’t wait!!” – Alli Burton ’26 / Co-host of “Wake Up Rider”
“Being able to go to the IBS is a huge honor, and one that I will never take for granted and definitely will look back on during my college radio career. The experience and knowledge we will gain being with industry professionals and learning effective strategies on numerous topics within radio is truly an amazing opportunity. Waiting for fellow peers and our own station bringing home an award will be nerve-racking, but very exciting at the same time.” – Nick Witkowski ’25 / Student General Manager and Host of “Wake Up Rider”
Reflecting On Last Year
“Being able to go to the IBS Awards for a second time is an amazing honor that I’m extremely grateful for. One of my favorite memories from the IBS Awards was the “So You Want To Be On The Air?” session where current on-air personalities gave us advice on accepting opportunities for radio careers.” – Taylor Tunstall ’24 former Student General Manager
“107.7 returning to the IBS awards is really an honor. I just loved being around my fellow peers and likeminded people!” – Olivia Parker ’25 / Music Director
“It is such an honor to return to the IBS awards. This opportunity is the best experience to be apart of a community where we can further grow our education within the media world and apply ourselves professionally through networking opportunities. All while being nominated for 10 awards for all of our hard work this past year!” – Heather Batezel ’24 / Social Media Director and Host of “Grow Up Blondie”
“Just to be able to be in the same room as some radio professionals is a great way to connect and get my name out there. I love being able to be with my friends and being able to potentially take home some hardware.” – Ben Shinault ’26 / Rider Women’s Play-by-Play Announcer
“I’m so excited for the resume building activity to craft my skills. I’m looking forward to the award ceremony to see if we come home winners!” Bianca Bracey ’24 / Creative Services Director
New Opportunities
“This will be my first time going to the IBS Awards and I couldn’t be more excited! It’s been a blast being a part of The Bronc family the last eight months and can’t wait to (hopefully) bring another trophy back to Lawrenceville!” – Jordan Hirsh ’25 / Rider Men’s Play-by-Play Announcer
“I’m excited to travel to NYC with 107.7 The Bronc! This will be an unforgettable experience and I’m so happy I get to join.” – Owen Nelson ’27 / Co-host of “Watch Upon A Time”
“My favorite thing about engaged learning opportunities like the NAB Marconi Radio Awards and the IBS Media Awards is watching our students interact and network with not only their peers from other institutions, but to also learn from the best and brightest minds to grow both personally and professionally; and eventually in their chosen career.” – John Mozes, General Manager, 107.7 The Bronc and 107.7 The Bronc Retro
