Our students and staff work hard, both on and off the air. Our staff’s successful year has been recognized with 11 nominations spanning over 11 categories.

Best Sports Play-by-Play (Baseball)

Lawrence High School Baseball on 107.7 The Bronc Retro was a real home run!
Our broadcasters followed the Cardinals all season long on WRRC2 and aired live from select home and road games.
The Cardinals took on intrastate rivals Ewing, Princeton, Notre Dame, Hamilton West, and more. The broadcasters hosted Catch Up With Coach with Coach Jim Maher, the manager of the Lawrence Cardinals, before every game.

Best News Director: Kadie DiGiusseppe ’27
Kadie DiGiuseppe is a Sports Media major from Glassboro NJ. Kadie is the News Director at the station where she is in charge of news features like The Bronc Buzz, The Bronc News Flash, Fun Jersey and Getting Down To Business. She is also an anchor in The Bronc News Flash. Aside from 107.7 The Bronc, Kadie is a part of club softball as well as being a member of the Gail Bierenbaum Women’s Leadership Council. Kadie is one of the Sports Editors at The Rider News. When Kadie is not at Rider, she is normally hanging out with her friends, at a Philadelphia sports game, watching TV, listening to music or at the beach.
Kadie is the first student to be nominated for three awards in one year. She’s nominated for Best News Director, Best Newscast, and Best Sports Talk Show. Way to go Kadie!

Best Station Contest: The Eggscellent Egg Hunt
Spring will be here before you know it and you know what that means! 107.7 The Bronc’s annual Eggscellent Egg Hunt is here!
Everything you could ever want to play or treat yourself to returns at 107.7 The Bronc’s Eggscellent Egg Hunt. On Tuesday, April 15. hunt through 10,000 eggs for 20,000 pieces of candy and over $30,000 in prizes. You can hop into the petting zoo, or bounce your way over tp play all of our carnival games, and don’t forget, the children’s egg hunt is back, too! There will be music, mascots and so much more.

Best Station Giveaway: Royal Caribbean Cruise For Two/The Eggscellent Egg Hunt
When the glorious day arrived, that miracle-working 107.7 team rose at 5 a.m. to set up 10,000 eggs in the egg zone, where this past year one lucky student found themselves going on a Royal Caribbean cruise to The Bahamas courtesy of Josh Harry Travel. Don’t miss this year’s hunt to see what tropical getaway is in store! Alongside the grand prize, we always giveaway over $30,000 dollars in prizes, including, but not limited to, sporting event and theater tickets, gift cards, electronics, and so much more!

Best Radio Station: 107.7 The Bronc WRRC-FM
The Bronc has been nominated for its third consecutive Intercollegiate Broadcasting Systems Media Award for Best Radio Station (under 10,000 students). The Bronc won the IBS Award for Best Radio Station in 2023. WRRC has also been nominated for four National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Radio Awards in 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023. The radio station has been ranked as the #16, #9 and #7 Best College Radio Station in the nation by The Princeton Review since 2016.

Best Online Streaming Radio Station (Under 10,000 Students)
Best Online/Streaming Radio Station: 107.7 The Bronc Retro WRRC2
The Bronc Retro has been nominated for its third consecutive Intercollegiate Broadcasting Systems Media Award for Best Online/Streaming Radio Station (under 10,000 students). WRRC2 has never won the IBS Award for Best Online/Streaming Radio Station. The team is hoping we can bring the award to Rider University this year.
