We were able to speak to Jim D’Ovidio, owner of Brown Dog Marketing, to learn how he prepares for the challenges of a Black Friday Week Sale.
“I hope we do great (with the Black Friday Sale), it’s a great way to save money and show off your support and school spirit for The Bronc!”
When Beyond The Mic asked about any new ideas for our merchline, Jim believes that sticking to our roots will help with our Black Friday Sale, “The big trend that I’m (consistently) seeing is our sustainable and eco-friendly merch, that’s the one thing where I see more merch going. Our most common merchandise purchase is definitely the sustainable and eco-friendly t-shirts!”
During this Thanksgiving break, it’s bound to get hectic, but that won’t stop Jim and his team from shipping our merchandise all over the United States!
“We ship from seven different locations in the United States. If an alumni is from California, we can ship from our Colorado facility, and if someone is down in Florida, we can ship from our South Carolina facility. (There’s also) Ohio and Pennsylvania. It cuts down on shipping costs and also the carbon footprint.”
Jim acknowledges that it’ll get busy producing the product, but Brown Dog Marketing will push through this crazy period of sales and meet the demand.
“This time of the year we’ll be a bit busier than usual, but we’ll be able to ship in seven to 10 days. (The Black Friday Week Sale) could add a few days, but we’re geared up and have people working second shifts during the holiday season, so we should be fine.”
In July, Jim chose the tie-dye hoodies as his favorite style of merchandise on our website. Has his opinion changed?
“The season changed since we spoke. Now that it’s more fall and winter, I’m feeling more quarter zip. It’s nice and cozy, and hoodies, they’re always great! I like brighter colors like rosy pink or raspberry color to warm up the cold days!”
