Meet the Broadcasters
Trey Wright is a Sports Media major from Neshanic Station, New Jersey, and has been broadcasting Lawrence Baseball since 2022. He is a part of Rider’s ESPN production crew, is the color commentator for Rider’s Ice Hockey broadcasts, and is the Chaplain for Theta Chi Fraternity’s Epsilon Rho chapter. Outside of Rider, Trey freelances for Breakout Sports Broadcasting, FloHockey, WSBN, and the412. In his spare time, he enjoys video editing and graphic design. Trey is an Eagle Scout, a fan of the New Jersey Devils, Washington Nationals, Commanders, and Capitals, and an avid follower of auto racing.
Matthew Brown is a Continuing Education student studying Sports Media in his first year at Rider University. He is very excited to be joining the men’s basketball radio broadcast team for the 23-24 season with Jay and Jordan. Matt has loved college basketball since he watched his first March Madness final when Carmelo Anthony’s Syracuse Orange beat the Kansas Jayhawks. On top of watching college basketball, he is a big fan of watching college football, NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, and UFC. He is especially a fan of the Yankees, Rangers, and Jets. In addition to joining the broadcast team, Matt also hosts the weekly sports show, “The Sports Yammerer,” on 107.7 The Bronc Mondays from 10pm to 11pm. He is very thankful and excited for this opportunity, and is even more excited to see the Broncs have a great season!
