107.7 The Bronc is proud to announce that the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System has recognized our students with eight IBS Media Award nominations, including two Best College Radio Station of the Year nominations.
We are so excited to announce we came home from New York City with two awards!
Best College Radio Station: 107.7 The Bronc WRRC-FM and Best Sports Update: Jake Serrano – The Overtime/107.7 The Bronc Retro.
This is The Bronc’s first-ever Best College Radio Station win and second consecutive win for Best Sports Update on WRRC2. This year’s other nominations include:
- Best Streaming/Online Only College Radio Station: 107.7 The Bronc Retro WRRC2
- Best Morning Show: Wake-Up Rider with Nick Witkowski and Trey Wright
- Best Promo Series:Nick Witkowski – Rider Student Top Chef: The Big Cheese
- Best Social Media: Heather Batezel – 107.7 The Bronc/107.7 The Bronc Retro
- Best Station Contest/Promotional Event:The Eggscellent Egg Hunt
- Best Station Contest/Promotional Event: 107.7 The Bronc Bronc Bowls
107.7 The Bronc and 107.7 The Bronc Retro received the second most nominations of any college or university in the State of New Jersey. The IBS College Media Awards took place Saturday, February 25 during the 2023 Intercollegiate Broadcasting Conference at the Sheraton Times Square in New York City. The Bronc was also featured at this year’s awards as part of the Marconi Spotlight Series. The Bronc staff, as well as John Mozes, talked about what makes a Marconi-nominated radio station “tick?” We’re definitely the ones with the right advice.
