These beloved (and one of them is an award(s) winner) shows are coming back this semester for listeners to enjoy!
WAKE UP RIDER YEAHHH!!!
107.7 The Bronc’s two-time IBS Media Award winning college morning show Wake Up Rider is having its 10th season! Starting on September 7, Branden, Brian, Ellis, Laytin (myself), RJ, Shir, and Sophia are coming back onto the airwaves for a whole bunch of wacky morning fun!
On top of that, we will be officially debuting the live stream via Restream for every episode! So you will be able to WATCH it live on the 1077TheBronc.com.

What’s New???
Even though it’s the same cast, we still have a lot of new stuff and different segments this season. As Sophia Guiro ‘27 puts it, “With our new camera system, that’s the biggest change. Our crew really works well together. We were able to get closer both on and off air [over the summer]. We made improvements to the cameras and to our bonds and chemistry, we are destined for great things.”
Struggles are inevitable. We are doing a lot of new and great things very quickly, which will be a big adjustment. But with our combined [on-air] experience we are learning how to have a poker face through it all. “We are going to make an effort to at least make it look like we aren’t making any mistakes. We want it to look as professional as possible, and in the past we would say a lot if we were messing up. But this time I want us to be able to fix whatever problems arise and not mention it out loud, so it looks like things are running smoothly.”
We Have Segments on Segments!
Wake Up Rider segments returning for Season X are the infamous Are You Smarter Than an 8th Grader, Hear Me Out, 3 Word Freestyle, Unfair Trivia, Be Descriptive, Am I The A-Hole, and The Video Game Gameshow.
We also have some sponsored segments returning like the Thursday Morning Bagel Run, The Monday Morning Hangover, and our Drop The Mic: Comedian Interviews!
However, something new is coming. Branden Munoz ‘29 is bringing back an old favorite. Branden Munoz Daredevil, is the reboot of the original Owen Nelson ‘27 segment, Owen Nelson Daredevil. Branden will be doing fun dares on-air and suffering the consequences if he doesn’t get the job done, all while making it funny in only a way Branden Munoz can.
Wake Up Rider X
You may wonder, “Why are you calling it Wake Up Rider X?” Well let me tell you … it was actually my idea! On the last episode of Season 9, when we were all saying goodbye, I said, “Stay tuned for Wake Up Rider Season X in the fall!” I took inspiration actually from a Mortal Kombat game of the same name, Mortal Kombat X, and X stands for 10, so I thought it would be cool to use that. I brought it up to the team and everyone liked it, so we updated the logos and now we use it in our branding!
Getting back together and using our new iMedia cameras is something we are ALL excited for, so make sure you tune in AND watch Wake Up Rider X on September 7, from 8 to 10 a.m., on 1077TheBronc.com.
Check Off The Bronc Box Score On Your ‘Shows To Listen To’ List!
The score for Lindsay Scarola ‘27 hosting The Bronc Box Score is three for three! She is back hosting The Bronc Box Score every Thursday from 3 – 4 p.m.!
If you are a fan of Rider University sports, get an inside look from the coaches POV as well as the athletes mindsets every time Lindsay Scarola interviews them!

Doing This For a Long Time
Now in her third season hosting The Bronc Box Score, Lindsay says she doesn’t feel pressure any more! “The Bronc Box Score is something I enjoy doing and I really like talking to athletes and coaches about their personal journeys to Rider and their athletic background. The fact I really get to know them and not just [as] the person you see [play] out on the court or field is amazing”
Doing the show is very special to Lindsay. One of her favorite memories actually came from interviewing a student athlete, “Interviewing Joe Tiroly. Joe was one of my first interviews, so to be able to interview him two years later now in his professional career [after being drafted by the San Diego Padres] was amazing.”
The Athletes and Coaches on The Show are IMPORTANT!!
As a Sports Media major, the connections Lindsay is making will really help her in her field!
She feels very satisfied with where the show is, and she is really excited for it to grow! “It’s going to build as we are now working with Rider Athletics to get more guests on [the show] and promote big games depending on the schedule that upcoming week.”
Make sure you tune in to The Bronc Box Score Thursdays from 3pm- 4 p.m. to watch and listen to Lindsay Scarola dive into the Rider Athletics world! You may see and hear some of your favorite coaches or players on the show, too!
It’s a new season of Wake Up Rider and The Bronc Box Score this semester on 107.7 The Bronc and you don’t want to miss out! Everything can be found on our website or on our Instagram!
