“I can’t believe that we’ve practically seen Gaga grow up. We saw her with ‘Just Dance’ in 2008 and now we have seen her drop seven albums, multiple world tours, movies, academy awards, and now having a baby. I’m so happy for her. She deserves the world.” are just some of the thoughts Alan Giles ‘28 shared with Behind The Mic after Gaga announced the birth of her first child.
Gaga’s Complicated Wish to Have a Baby!
The happy couple revealed they had a baby girl, whose name is Rose Bean Polansky on June 9, 2026 via a surrogate. This however does not come as a shock, given Gaga’s very public battle with a hip injury and Fibromyalgia. Lady Gaga expressed her feelings in the Netflix documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two “Do I look pathetic? I’m so embarrassed. I don’t even know what a child birth will be like. … I think I can get pregnant, I just don’t know, what are my hips gonna do? I don’t f**king know.”
Lady Gaga has made it publicly known that one of her major life goals was to be a mother. In 2009, on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon she was asked if she would like to have a baby one day, to which she responded with positivity, “Yes I do, but a very long time from now. A very very long time from now.”
Well that day has come.
A photo taken on September 11, 2026 showed Lady Gaga walking in a Los Angeles neighborhood with her fiancé and assistant. Some Gaga fans are shocked she hasn’t made an official announcement yet. “Gaga is known for being flashy and creative. Look at her 2009 VMA’s performance, her 2011 Grammy’s performance, her 2020 VMA’s performance, I’m shocked she didn’t give a whole reveal to the public. But then again, it’s a child so she’s probably thinking of her safety.” Alan Giles ‘28 added about the superstar.
Millie Bobby Brown’s Life Has Turned Upside Down With This New Addition!
Gaga isn’t the only superstar with a new child. Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown has adopted a second child, a baby boy with her husband Jake Bongiovi.
It is their second child together, both kids were welcomed through adoption, which some people are confused about. But with the celebrity’s packed schedule, and the hardships that come with acting, it makes sense why she may not have wanted to have a traditional pregnancy.
How Can Someone Act While Pregnant?
Acting major Savannah Weaver ‘28 says Millie’s life choices are valid, “Acting takes a lot out of you. It [takes] a mental and physical toll. I could never imagine being pregnant with all of that. Millie is so valid in her decisions. She’s a woman too, and people shouldn’t have their opinions on women’s bodies.”
