The advertisements have also already started! New Production Director, Guy Varela ‘27 was assigned some of the work to help advertise our second annual Christmas in July Sale, and for him it was a very fun experience, “I really enjoyed it. I’m allowed to be very creative with it. I have reindeer sound effects, Santa falling down a chimney, you’re going to have to listen!”
Unfortunately, I fear we aren’t hearing any of Mariah Carey’s vocals just yet, but don’t worry (I fear I’m the only one who is worrying), we shall hear her very soon!
We market, brand and promote The Bronc’s Christmas in July Sale in many different ways, like our email blasts that go out multiple times a week, the blogs (like this one you’re reading!), and with digital ads on our website and media players as well!

Christmas is about so much more than just gifts (Of course if you are going to give one, PLEASE don’t be shy!) it’s about being together with friends and family!
Buttttttt, I had asked Guy and John what their favorite Christmas gift was and shockingly, it wasn’t something grand and glorious. “You know, with me you could never go wrong with a sports jersey or some sports pajama pants. It makes me feel closer to the teams I support.”
John actually called back to his childhood to recount his favorite Christmas gift! And for him it was a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Car! “It had wings on it and I would drive it up and down the sidewalks and the street. It was very fun!”

And lastly, we HAVE to talk about music. We ARE a radio station after all. The topic of “FAVORITE CHRISTMAS SONG” came up, and it turned into a ten minute conversation. Guy’s favorite Christmas songs are a little bit niche, if I do say so myself, “I love ‘December’ by Neck Deep and “I Won’t Be Home For Christmas” by Blink-182!” Those are a few of Xmas hits on his list! Not the typical Mariah, Frank Sinatra, or Jackson 5, but still iconic nonetheless.
